Abstract

This conducted on freely available academic papers that are listed in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). Information was taken from the Dimensions.ai system and included the best 100 papers based on their Altmetric Attention Score (AAS). After getting the information, it was cleaned up and structured using OpenRefine and Microsoft Excel, and then different analyses were done, such as making tables, charts, and looking at connections. Chart 1 shows where the attention came from by platform, and it shows that X (formerly Twitter) is the main platform for academic attention. The top ten papers with the highest AAS numbers are shown in Chart 2. Also, Table 1 shows how each attention source relates to the total AAS. Chart 3 shows how the papers are spread out over the years, showing that the most papers in the set were released in 2021. Lastly, Chart 4 shows the most important journals that contributed, with Scientific Reports being the top journal for articles that were talked about a lot.
