Aim and Scope of JILA

JILA (Journal of Indian Library Association) seeks to provide library and information science (LIS) students, instructors, researchers, and practitioners a forum for academic discussion in order to share ideas and expertise. This Journal is dedicated to disseminating innovative research that tackles the problems and advancements in library and information science. It seeks to disseminate best practices, investigate new trends and problems, and publish peer-reviewed articles that further LIS research and expertise. It welcomes multidisciplinary methods, referencing allied disciplines such as information technology and computer science and how they apply to Library and Information Science.

By publishing original research, academic papers, and reviews on a wide range of subjects pertaining to librarianship, information science, information management, and information technology, among other things, JILA typically seeks to promote the discipline. This journal's coverage includes topics including knowledge organization, information literacy, digital libraries, library management, information retrieval, and new technologies.
