Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the use of electronic resources provided by the Nagaland University Library to postgraduate students and research scholars. Due to the inaccessibility of the physical library during the COVID-19 pandemic, the university library concentrated on providing e-resources to its patrons for accessing the information without visiting the library physically. The present study focuses on providing access to electronic resources during the pandemic period, and assessing its use by library users. A structured questionnaire is used to collect the data and quantitative analysis is adopted using PSPP to analyze the data in this study. The findings of the study showed that there is an increase in the use of electronic resources during the COVID-19 pandemic. The survey also showed that the users prefer to have print as well as electronic resources for their information requirements. Users suggested to add information literacy courses in their curriculum. Users have shown a favourable attitude towards the use of electronic resources even after the pandemic.
