Doctoral Theses Accepted For Degree Of Doctor Of Philosophy In Library And Information Science In India During 2016-2021: A Study

The study presents an overview of the doctoral theses submitted and degrees awarded in the discipline of Library and Information Science in India from 2016 to 2021. The study is based on the data compiled from the printed bibliographical information sources of doctoral theses in the social sciences, published by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, from January 2016 to December 2021. The study covered the LIS research at the doctoral level, submitted to Indian Universities and attempts to indicate the chronological distribution of research annually.
