Abstract

Himachal Pradesh is a fully functional literate state having several universities, institutes and colleges. Most of them became operational during the 21st century. The study attempted to find out the academic productivities of some select universities of the state in respect of their publications, citations (citations per paper and per faculty members), ranking by NIRF and accreditation by NAAC. It also gives an overview of some of the global ranking systems, highlighting their ranking parameters. The overall academic productivities of the universities have been analysed and presented with their ranking among themselves according to the emerged methodology during the course of this study.
