Abstract

The Federal Ministry of Education of Nigeria to create an Educational Impact has introduced an e-learning platform called "Inspire" to bridge the gap in the country's education system, especially for primary, secondary and tertiary education. This platform is aimed at providing easy access to quality education materials and resources to students, teachers, and educational institutions across Nigeria. This paper examines the awareness and impact of the "Inspire" e-learning platform on the education system in Nigeria, specifically in the Gwagwalada area council of the Federal Capital Territory, Precisely Government owned school, This paper  employs a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques, to provide an in-depth on the awareness of Inspire platform, The paper evaluates awareness, usage patterns and perceptions of the platform among SS3 science students, and teachers, The study adopts Convenient sampling to select 100 SS3 science students and 50 teachers from the following schools: Government Girls Secondary School Dukpa, Government Day Secondary School Gwagwalada, Government Secondary School Dobi, Government Secondary School Gwagwalada, Government Secondary School Old Kutunku Hajj Camp Gwagwalada, Government Secondary School Zuba, Government Sci. Secondary School Tungan Maje, School for the Gifted Gwagwalada, and the University of Abuja. The study used a combination of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews to collect data from the participants. The finding shows that the 50 percent indicated that “Inspire” Platform has a Positive impact and majority of the respondent who were aware stated that they use the platform, systemic issues such as poor internet access and limited devices are major impediments. The study recommends that FME should address the infrastructural challenges, especially regarding internet connectivity and device availability and Train appropriate stakeholders.
