Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur library users' information-seeking behavior is explored in this article, which examines information, information needs, and information-seeking behaviors based on user needs. An analysis of students' information-seeking behavior in collegiate education is presented in the paper. Researchers found that improving participants' information-seeking behavior, satisfaction, and utilization of library resources can be accomplished by improving their data-seeking behavior. Students and staff at Sacred Heart College, Tirupattur completed 140 questionnaires to gather data. The research underscores the importance of involving both staff and students in designing successful information services. The study emphasizes the need for optimizing library services by modernizing access to information resources, addressing how information is discovered, and improving the accessibility of library services. The paper categorizes the types of information required by students as highly required, moderately required, not required, and frequently required. The scope of the paper extends to various aspects of information needs and identifies deficiencies in meeting user expectations or behavior, suggesting the need for studies to overcome these challenges. Overall, the analysis underscores the importance of designing a suitable Information System for the organization.
