Abstract

This study aims to assess the information needs of students belonging to the Theology discipline, the resources available in the libraries and the services offered by these libraries. It is expected that the findings
of this study will be useful for theological libraries in reorienting their resources, services and facilities to synchronize them with the information needs of their users. This study will also contribute
to the existing body of knowledge on user satisfaction and library effectiveness. The present study is confined to the United Theological College library and its users, and analyses its resources, services and usage. The results showed that graduates have visited the library more than the post-graduates; all the students were aware of the
availability of e-resources, but library needs to  improvise with more online subscriptions.
