Digital Literacy Among Postgraduate Students of Social Sciences in Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra

The aim of this research is to know the awareness, usage, purpose, satisfaction level and problems about different digital information resources among postgraduate students of selected Social Science Departments of Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the primary data. 200 questionnaires were distributed through face-to-face interaction among postgraduate students of selected Social Sciences departments i.e. Sociology, History, Economics, and Political science at Kurukshetra University Kurukshetra. Only 170 questionnaires were found acceptable for data analysis i.e. 60 male (41.76%) and 110 (58.23%) females filled questionnaires complete with a response rate of 85%. The study shows that E-books had the highest i.e. 141 (82.94%) awareness rank. 127 (74.71%) respondents were aware of MHRD digital Initiatives and the main purpose of using digital information was to update their subject knowledge i.e. 146 (85.88%) and 107 (62.94%) respondents search their query with Title at highest rank.
