Abstract

preferences about electronic and printed resources. 613 samples were selected from Mangalore University and selected colleges in Mangalore, Karnataka. A well-designed online Google Forms questionnaire was used for data collection, and the data was analysed with SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences). With the increasing availability and accessibility of electronic information sources, there is a growing need to understand how students perceive today these sources compared to traditional forms. Students increasingly prefer electronic databases and online journals over printed materials due to their convenience, accessibility, and vast online information. However, printed materials like textbooks and reference materials remain valuable. Students’ express concerns about the reliability and authenticity of electronic information, emphasizing the need for critical evaluation and the role of librarians and educators in sourcing credible sources.
